Diabetes is diagnosed by testing the blood glucose levels as follows:

When the patient has fasted for 8-10 hours.

Two hours after eating 75 g. glucose.

Checking blood sugar at any time is called Random Blood Sugar, but it is only an indicative test, not a confirmatory test like the above two.
